The Yonsei International Mini-Residency

for Advanced Orthodontics (YIMAO) 2026

The Yonsei International Mini-Residency for Advanced Orthodontics (YIMAO) is a globally recognized orthodontic training program that showcases the clinical excellence of Yonsei University and Korean orthodontics. In 2025, a record 224 dentists from 30 countries participated in the program, gaining hands-on clinical insights through lectures and observation sessions at Yonsei University Dental Hospital. 

The 2026 program has already attracted 217 registered participants from around the world and will be held from June 29 to July 7, 2026. More than an educational course, YIMAO has become a global orthodontic community platform, connecting orthodontists, educators, and industry professionals through learning, networking, and collaboration.

2026 YIMAO FUNDO NIGHT (SAT, 7/4)

FUNDO NIGHT is the official networking event of the 2026 Yonsei International Mini-Residency for Advanced Orthodontics (YIMAO), bringing together orthodontists, dentists, and industry professionals from around the world in a unique global community setting.

Participants from countries including the United States, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Ecuador come together to exchange clinical insights, discuss real-world cases, share market perspectives, and build meaningful professional relationships. Through these interactions, FUNDO NIGHT serves as a valuable platform for fostering international collaboration and networking within the orthodontic community.

Held during the middle of the residency program, FUNDO NIGHT is designed to strengthen the connections participants have developed through lectures and clinical sessions. In a relaxed and casual atmosphere, attendees can engage in conversations that go beyond the classroom, sharing experiences and perspectives that are often difficult to discuss during formal academic programs. More than just a dinner event, FUNDO NIGHT is a signature community experience of YIMAO, where orthodontic professionals from around the world connect, exchange ideas, and build lasting global relationships.

2026 YIMAO 
GALA DINNER (MON, 7/6) 

The Gala Dinner is the official closing networking event of the 2026 Yonsei International Mini-Residency for Advanced Orthodontics (YIMAO), bringing together orthodontists, faculty members, and industry professionals from around the world. As the finale of the week-long program, participants have the opportunity to strengthen connections, exchange insights, and celebrate their shared learning experience within the global orthodontic community.

Held at Sebitseom, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks overlooking the Han River, the evening offers a memorable setting for international networking and friendship. The program will also feature engaging activities such as a Lucky Draw, Best Dresser Award, and Outstanding Participant Award, creating an enjoyable and interactive experience for all attendees.

More than a dinner reception, the Gala Dinner serves as a meaningful celebration of global collaboration, professional exchange, and lasting connections among YIMAO participants.
